Peer Reviewer Process
The International Journal of Economics, Education, Law and Social Sciences employs a rigorous peer review process to ensure the quality, integrity, and academic contribution of all manuscripts published. Our peer review process is as follows:
1. Initial Submission and Editorial Assessment
- Upon submission, the manuscript is first reviewed by the Editorial Office to ensure it meets the journal’s scope and formatting requirements. Manuscripts that do not meet these requirements may be returned to the authors for correction.
- The Editor-in-Chief (or designated editor) then conducts a preliminary assessment to evaluate the originality, relevance, and academic contribution of the manuscript. Manuscripts that do not meet these standards are promptly rejected.
2. Plagiarism Check
- All manuscripts undergo plagiarism detection using industry-standard software. Manuscripts with significant similarity indices will be returned to authors for revision or, in severe cases, may be rejected.
3. Assignment of Reviewers
- Manuscripts passing the initial assessment are assigned to two or more qualified reviewers in the relevant field. Reviewers are selected based on their expertise and experience, ensuring a high-quality evaluation of the manuscript’s content and methodology.
- The journal utilizes a double-blind review process, meaning that both the reviewers and authors remain anonymous to each other to maintain objectivity and prevent any biases.
4. Review Criteria
- Reviewers assess manuscripts based on several criteria, including:
- Originality: The uniqueness and innovativeness of the research.
- Methodology: The appropriateness and rigor of the research methods.
- Relevance: The contribution of the research to the field of economics, education, law, or social sciences.
- Clarity and Organization: The logical flow, coherence, and readability of the manuscript.
- References: Adequacy and relevance of references and sources cited.
- Reviewers are asked to provide constructive comments, highlight strengths, and suggest improvements for each manuscript.
5. Reviewer Recommendations
- Based on their evaluation, reviewers provide one of the following recommendations:
- Accept: The manuscript is suitable for publication with minimal or no changes.
- Minor Revision: The manuscript requires minor adjustments before it can be accepted.
- Major Revision: The manuscript requires significant changes but can be reconsidered after revision.
- Reject: The manuscript is not suitable for publication due to substantial flaws or lack of contribution.
- The final decision regarding the manuscript rests with the Editor-in-Chief, who considers the reviewers’ recommendations.
6. Author Revisions
- If revisions are required, the manuscript and reviewer comments are returned to the authors for revision. Authors are expected to respond to each comment and make the necessary changes.
- Revised manuscripts must be resubmitted within the specified time frame, typically within 30 days for minor revisions and 60 days for major revisions.
7. Final Decision and Notification
- Once the revised manuscript is resubmitted, it may undergo a second round of review if necessary. Otherwise, the editor evaluates the revised manuscript and makes a final decision based on the reviewer feedback and the authors’ responses.
- Authors are notified of the final decision via email, which may include acceptance, further revision, or rejection.
8. Proofreading and Publication
- Accepted manuscripts undergo a final proofreading and formatting stage to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- The final version is sent to the authors for approval before publication. Once approved, the manuscript is published in the upcoming issue of the journal.
9. Confidentiality and Ethical Compliance
- All manuscripts, reviewer reports, and editorial decisions are treated with strict confidentiality.
- Reviewers are expected to adhere to ethical standards and declare any potential conflicts of interest that may influence their review. Unpublished information disclosed in a submitted manuscript is not used by reviewers or editors for their research purposes.
